Fort Myers, Florida – Mertz Taggart, the leading merger & acquisition firm specializing in the home health, home care, hospice and behavioral health industries, announces its continued expansion with the addition of Bruce Vanderlaan, JD, as Managing Director.
Mr. Vanderlaan practiced law for 17 years with Varnum, Riddering, Schmidt, & Howlett in Grand Rapids, Michigan and for one year with Miller, Carson, Boxberger, & Murphy in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Since 2010, Mr. Vanderlaan has practiced in Fort Myers, Florida.
His area of concentration has been on representing healthcare groups and businesses in virtually all aspects of their corporate needs, from organization and structuring to contracts, and compliance with extensive experience in negotiating, advising, and guiding clients through the M&A process, closing dozens of transactions.

In addition to being currently admitted to the Michigan and Florida Bars, he holds a bachelor’s in business administration and is an honors graduate of the University of Detroit School of Law.
