Vizion Health’s CEO, Mark Schneider, announced today that it acquired Panola Medical Center, a 112-bed acute care medical hospital located in Batesville, Mississippi. Vizion partnered with Progressive Medical Management of Batesville, LLC, Whitwell Holdings, LLC, and Java Medical Group on this acquisition. Panola is divided into two campuses; one campus is a 55-bed medical hospital and the second campus is a 57-bed acute care psychiatric hospital.
Vizion Health, LLC is a privately-owned healthcare company located in Charlotte, NC. Vizion brings a seasoned behavioral healthcare team with decades of experience to Panola. CEO Mark Schneider has over four decades of operating a broad spectrum of behavioral health facilities. Stephen Chesney, Vizion’s Chief Operating Officer, brings more than 30 years of experience operating multi-site and multi-state psychiatric businesses. Dr. Ann Miller, a recognized national expert in the substance abuse treatment industry, is Vizion’s Chief Development Officer. Aaron Kneas, a Vizion Partner and Managing Director with New Century Capital Partners (NCCP), supports the Vizion Team on structuring transactions and securing capital for the company’s growth. “The strength of the core Vizion team enables us to grow quickly while continuing to ensure quality programming throughout our system,” says Mark Schneider.
The Panola Medical Center is Vizion’s third acquisition. Vizion currently owns two facilities in Miami, Oklahoma; Willow Crest Hospital and Moccasin Bend Ranch. Willow Crest is a 50-bed acute care psychiatric hospital and Moccasin Bend Ranch is a 28-bed residential treatment. Both facilities treat children and adolescents. Vizion’s portfolio also includes Fort Behavioral Health, a 133-bed newly renovated, state-of-the-art behavioral health facility in Fort Worth, Texas which treats both substance abuse and children with autism. Fort Behavioral opened on March 4, 2019.
